Thanks and Tax News (both from Waltzingmouse)

Love Waltzingmouse Big Berries:  Strawberry.  Just a peek of it looks so fresh.

How to get the shaded strawberry?  I used the MISTI.  I stamped first with a pale pink ink, and then inked up the edge of the strawberry with a darker red and restamped.  Did the same with the green stem.  If you have the $$ and are able to get the MISTI, do so!

Claire indicated that she will be having a sale soon, in part due to the mess that has been created by changes in overseas (to me) tax laws.  If you haven't already read it, her blog post here is worth a read. So many changes in the craft industry....

Kiss Me!

Lots of fun making this.  Since the process isn't obvious, it's detailed below.

Entering this card in the Virginia View's Challenge #10.

How I Made This Card:

1.  Cut out Mistletoe with the Silhouette onto white paper.
2.  Sponged with Ranger Distress inks, and stamped the bottom of the petals with Waltzingmouse Vintage Christmas Backgrounder in Encore Gold ink. Painted a bit with Peerless watercolors while the gold ink was still wet, which smeared most of the background.  But that is ok because the bottom has a nice golden touch.
3.  Stamped a circle background with Hero Arts pink neon ink stamped off once and Hero Arts Brush Strokes.  Love that set.
4.  Assembled by covering the background with vellum that's a bit larger than the background and tying the mistletoe with twine.
5.  Made sentiment with a Dymo Label Maker (obsessed with this thing).
6.  Flicked some pink and black paint onto a white card.
7.  Adhered it all.

Swiping the Stripes

Made by embossing a sentiment in gold and then drawing Gelatos over the card and swiping the stripes with a baby wipe.  Easy, fast, interesting.

This was an experiment.  Why not?

And welcome back to so many long time readers who found me again. That's nice!

Two Step Stamping with Waltzingmouse

Waltzingmouse Two Step Floral Sprig is a great little set -- very easy to use.  Did not realize that there is a downloadable Silhouette cut file for this set.  May need to get that some time.

Stamped the flowers on vellum with Versamagic Thatched Straw and Archival Black.   Embossed with Ranger clear embossing powder, and hand cut. Adhered just the center of the flowers to yellow cardstock.  Leaves with Versamagic Tea Leaves.  Sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings.

Waltzingmouse Pajama Party!: Funky Feathers Note Set

It's a pajama party over at Waltzingmouse.  And, since I'm up during most nights stamping in my pjs, I had to play along!

I chose the color challenge.

Decided to use the fabulous Waltzingmouse Funky Feathers to make a flat note card - perfect when you want to say something, but not too much.

Great for a guy, whom I'm sure would love the envelope (if he noticed!).

But, wait, there's more! Neon, neon feathers. Who doesn't like neon feathers?

And then, I just kept going ...

And now I have a great set to give as a gift!  Or hoard.

Supplies:

Stamps:  Waltzingmouse Funky Feathers
Ink:  Assorted
Cardstock:  Neenah Solar White and A Muse Studio Black
Other:  Paper trimmer, adhesive, typing paper, Paper Source envelopes, Clear and Simple A2 envelope liner die

Funky One Layer

Love the new Funky Feathers set from Waltzingmouse. Now that WMS ships from the US, shipping is lightening fast.

This is a very quick one layer lovely.

Stamped the feather in Hero Arts Cantaloupe and the heart in Hero Arts Tomato.  A little bling just to make it more interesting.

As Claire would say, hope it tickles...
