Jury Duty

The jury in my head is out on this card.  This is the type of card I have been making for years and there was a time when I would have liked it.  White space, pretty colors, and all that.

Now?

I'm bored by it.  My tastes have changed and I find myself wondering why I find this boring.  I like the Hero Arts Flower Dauber image.  I like the scribbled feel to it.  But there is nothing special or interesting or clever here.

I'm posting this not to whine or belabor the point but simply to share that I'm sort of at a crossroads with this hobby.  But not sure where the road is going!

MOOD WHEN DONE = I will not say bored.  I will say thinking and invite comments on how you feel about what YOU are making.

Speech Bubble Set

I like the speech bubble trend, but since it usually involves placing a bubble near a person or animal, I backed off, as I don't do "scenes" very well.  In fact, I don't do them at all.  But, then I saw a speech bubble in the Silhouette store and here we are.   I'll box these up and give them as a gift.

And on another note, thanks so much for the comments last week on the fruity stationery set.  I appreciate it.  I had fun making those cards.

MOOD WHEN DONE = Grateful to have a hobby that gives me so much pleasure.  Today, paper crafting lifted me out of a difficult mood.  I think I'm having a delayed reaction to my Mom's death in February of 2013.  Nothing like a little creativity and a lot of mess to settle down and get back my equilibrium ....
