The holly on the first two cards? Too light, too spare, and the leaves were too far apart. Plus a bit of the glossy accents seeped out under the holly leaf.
So I added a few extra leaves in a darker color for more contrast.
And now I am happy.
All that gold.
And stripes!

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Classy.
ReplyDeleteBUT! I protest! Christmas???? (okay, me thinks I protest too much. That would be that person inside of me who has not sent out Christmas cards for the past 3-4 years. Life just got HORRIBLELY hectic at that time and I decided that my sanity was more important than sending out Christmas cards. But, I admit, that every year I seriously think that I will attempt to get cards out again. Maybe if I considered something like these? Hmmmm......)
Beautiful gold stripes & great holly save! Thanks for showing the before and after.
