Paper crafting is a lot more fun when I just accept the fact that I
need lots of inspiration must have something to copy and make my own. I found these small plates in the Crate and Barrel catalog --
And that got me thinking....
Big vegetables
Big fruit
Silhouette
So I made these:
And all wrapped up for a gift (I may give this gift to myself.)
Some of the colored card stock is white, colored with Copics. Other card stock is Stampin Up, which cuts beautifully in the Silhouette.
Next time I make something like this, I'll make sure that all the images are large enough to fall off the edges.
Yum
MOOD WHEN DONE = Pleased
Totally swoon-worthy! Love them!

ReplyDeletelove, love, love!!!! What a brilliant take on the inspiration!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Joan, these are so pretty. I love the big bright fruits.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Love these! And I love your translation because I do not like those plates at all.
ReplyDeleteCarrie is me! (Michele aka Derbylea) my daughter had not signed out her account.
DeleteJoan these are fabulous! I love how graphic and bright these are!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous. How cool to be inspired by those plates. I love your cards, and now want the plates, too. P.S. I just made some envelopes inspired by your previous post. Am typing up your shout out and wanted to say thanks for the inspiration, too.
ReplyDeleteThese are so graphic and fab! I'm exactly the same - nothing scares me more than a blank page in front of me. I love where you've taken these fruits and vegetables! The 'off the edge' feel makes them modern and fun!
ReplyDeleteI love them, but don't know how you made them. Clipart? Freehand drawing? Stamps? I want some! I guess I will order the plates while waiting for an answer. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I thought I was clear. I used the Silhouette/Cameo to cut out the images. You can find more info on the machine here. http://www.silhouetteamerica.com/
DeleteThank you. I see a new toy in my future.
DeleteThese are FANTASTIC!!
ReplyDeleteLove them. So bright and cheery. What a great idea. I'll have to see if my old Cricut has any large fruit.
ReplyDeleteJoan, they look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBold and graphic perfection! I totally understand that you want to give this pretty gift to yourself, ha!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! These are so delightful. It's very refreshing to see note cards that are bright and cheerful. Have you thought about making lots of these gifts and selling them???
ReplyDeleteMary
HOW CUTE ARE THESE?!! Cute, cute, cute (and I don't use the word cute usually!!)
ReplyDeleteSO FABULOUS!
ReplyDeleteI do like the images falling off the edges. These are so cute, Joan! Very bright and cheerful. Perfect for any number of occasions. You're inspired/I'm inspired!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I love this look, Joan!
ReplyDeleteLove where the inspiration took you, so fresh and fun.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of bold graphics falling off the page, but I never, ever think to do it. I'm very tied to centered symmetry, and I really need to break out of that rut!
