Why another blog?
I made a card yesterday. The first in a long time. I like it and thought about taking its photo and describing how I made it. Then I remembered.
No blog.
I was at the gas station today and bumped into "M", who works at the nursing home where my mom spent the last year plus of her life. He took care of her. A million feelings flooded over me, and I started composing in my head. Then I remembered.
No blog.
Clearly, whatever negative cloud engulfed me for the past few months has moved on. So, to those of you who have found me, to my former Paperlicious and Creating White Spaces readers, thanks and welcome back. I apologize for the abrupt departure. Very bad blogger form. It's a long story. I'll share it after I photograph that card...
Yayyy! Welcome back! I'm looking forward to seeing more!
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you blogging!

ReplyDeleteHey, welcome back!
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you back. I was worried when you abruptly stopped blogging. Hope you're ok.
ReplyDeleteNo apologies needed as far as I am concerned; blogging is sharing when it is convenient for us, it is not an obligation. That said, I am excited to see your cards again!
ReplyDeleteGlad u r back! Woud love to gt together and stamp. Heather J.
ReplyDeleteHeather -- I cannot find your email. Can you email me??
DeleteI am so glad to see you back blogging again, Joan!
ReplyDeleteEven if I don't always comment, I always enjoy what you have to say and the wit with which you express it.
I'm glad for you that your negative cloud has moved on.
I too say YAY, you're back! Am so pleased to see your card and "hear" from you. I hope life has been treating you well while you were away from blogland, and will look forward to whatever you feel like sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!! No apologies necessary, Joan. You do what's right for you, when it's right for you. Thanks for inviting us along for the ride now and then :) .
ReplyDeleteSo glad your back. I did miss your blog and am so glad I found this one.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Cathy
So very glad you are back. You'll never know the lessons (stamping and general life) that I have learned from you. So glad I found your new blog. I wish you well!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteHallelujah!!! You have been missed. So glad to have you back with your "Joan-isms".
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see Claire linked to you...I was so sad to see you disappear!
ReplyDeleteJust found you again; was looking thru my gallery at SCS for a card (I wanted to send a link to a friend), and lo and behold, Joan had commented on my card - WOW! That totally made my day. Then I saw the words: "new blog" and my day just got even better. I scooted over here just as fast as I could. I love your "makes" and your "talks".
ReplyDeleteSo I second Susan's YAY!!!!!!!!
Wow-one day I read "Creating White Spaces" the next I am not allowed access...Welcome back Joan-I am so happy to find you again. I will third Susan's YAY!

ReplyDeleteGlad you are back! gotta take care of you first!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! I'm a little late to the party (what's new) and once I figure out the whole new reader thing (curse you, Google), I'll be by regularly to visit. :)
ReplyDeleteJoan, earlier this evening I commented on a later post, but wanted to properly welcome you back. I've missed seeing your cards and reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteAnnette
Oh, I was so excited to see your name on the CASology page and came over, crossing my fingers that it was you! Whoo hoo! Welcome back to the world of blogging - you have been missed. <3
ReplyDeleteYippee! So happy you're back. Have missed the witty Joan saga. Hugs, sweetie.

ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I am so glad I found you again - I loved your cards and words. You say so many things I am unable to express in writing.
Amazing how the writings of a person I've never met are so indelible in my head I've made a mind-movie of your old house and your new place, Mike, your Mom, your son you were sending a card to every day, your office and the street you walk to catch public transportation, your cave on the top floor, with a door out to the roof, or did I make that up?........you write like the few who get published, or I wouldn't have this movie in my head.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're back, 'cause the movie was left sort of dangling except for now-and-then Joan B Comments on a few Blogs.
Yaaaayyyyy, to echo Susan! Welcome.
bahb@fastmail.fm...no blog, no facebook or twitter
Hi Joan! 'This is like bumping into an old friend after a long time apart. Long time, no see.
ReplyDeleteSoooo glad to know that you are getting back on track with all your faithful friends and followers. It has been a rough year for lots of us, but I remind myself that this, too, shall pass. Good to "get together" with you again. (sldinepping)
Wow, can't believe I am just now finding out that you are back! Thanks to Susan Raihalla for mentioning that on Simplicity recently.
