Hello Autumn!

Decided to play with the Paper Smooches Spark Challenge because:

1.  it is an "anything goes" challenge and even I can do that,
2.  love Paper Smooches and this Autumn Groves set,
3.  it is autumn in my mind, and that puts me in a good mood, and
4.  am trying to be more involved with the stamping internet community while at the same time preserving my artistic integrity. and possibly win $$$.

Got to love my envelope liner die -- one of my all time favorite purchases....buy one and use it!!

MOOD WHEN DONE:  it's autumn, what more can I say?

Supplies:

Stamps:  Paper Smooches Autumn Groves

Paper:  Recollections Cream cardstock from Michaels, and assorted patterned paper (it's thrown in a drawer, no clue of the source!)

Ink:  Versamark and Hero Arts Cup of Joe, Ranger Distress ink Crushed Olive

Other:  Ranger Gold detail embossing powder, twine, We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, Clear and Simple stamps envelope liner die, Peerless watercolors, water, watercolor brush, time due to a blessed 5 day holiday from work...good heavens, so much stuff for such a "simple" card...

  1. I like using an envelope liner die too, but I started noticing how we open mail at our house. We use one of those envelope opener sharp things to slice through the top, then pull the mail out of the envelope. It occurred to me that I would be one of those people that a pretty envelope liner would be wasted on because I would never see it. I wondered how many other people open their mail that way, or worse yet, just rip across the top. So I don't use my liner die very much anymore. Sad, but true - they really do dress up an envelope.

    1. At our house bills and such are opened as you describe. Envelopes that have the potential to hold a card inside get opened carefully along the flap edge....with ever eternal hope that there is a missive inside that says something other than Pay Me :)

  2. Wonderful card. I hope it brings great joy to its recipient, and also big bucks to you when you win the challenge! I agree with you about loving lined envelopes. I often do it when I am making a card set as a gift, but rarely for myself. Now, that's not right.

  3. Love the look of the gold embossing with autumn colours.
I think, provided one only enters challenges that "fit", one can perfectly well preserve integrity and, if lucky, win :D. Good luck to you.
